Doctors say infant with rare condition is doing well
A baby with two faces was born in a northern Indian village, where she is doing well and is being worshipped as the reincarnation of a Hindu goddess, her father said Tuesday.
The baby, Lali, apparently has an extremely rare condition known as craniofacial duplication, where a single head has two faces. Except for her ears, all of Lali's facial features are duplicated — she has two noses, two pairs of lips and two pairs of eyes.
"My daughter is fine — like any other child," said Vinod Singh, 23, a poor farm worker.
Lali has caused a sensation in the dusty village of Saini Sunpura, 25 miles east of New Delhi. When she left the hospital, eight hours after a normal delivery on March 11, she was swarmed by villagers, said Sabir Ali, the director of Saifi Hospital.
"She drinks milk from her two mouths and opens and shuts all the four eyes at one time," Ali said.
Rural India is deeply superstitious and the little girl is being hailed as a return of the Hindu goddess of valor, Durga, a fiery deity traditionally depicted with three eyes and many arms.

JEREMIAH WRIGHT HAS NEGATIVE EFFECT ON OBAMA: Poll says controversy weakened white support for presidential candidate.

*According to the most recent News York Times/CBS News poll, support among white Americans for the presidential candidacy of Senator Barrack Obama “has softened” since the massive media reporting regarding his former pastor Rev. Jeremiah Wright.
The biggest decline in support took place among white males and upper income whites. Obama’s overall favorability rating dropped 7 points to 62 percent.
However, the poll taken between March 28th and April 2nd, did contain some good news for Obama regarding his close fight with Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton for the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination.
It showed that 74 percent of Democrats felt Obama was the kind of candidate who would unite the nation. Only, 60 percent felt the same way about Mrs. Clinton.
The decline in Obama’s overall popularity appears to have grown out of repeated stories regarding his former Chicago pastor Rev. Jeremiah Wright.
Wright came in for heated criticism for suggesting that America’s Middle East policy was in part responsible for the 9-11 terrorist attack on the nation and that the government may have played a role in spreading AIDS in the Black community. (source Taylor Media Services)

Los Angeles V100 Radio Station, "SOLD"! To The Mormon Church!

Pointing to decreasing African American demographics, powerful Black owned media conglomerate Radio One, Inc. announced that it has sold Los Angeles’ leading urban radio station, the popular V100 to Bonneville International, a Salt Lake City, Utah broadcast company wholly owned by The Church of Latter-Day Saints (the LDS Church).
Radio One, Inc. entered into an Asset Purchase Agreement to sell KRBV-FM last Friday March 24 for a transaction price of $137.5 million.
“It’s an attractive transaction for Radio One, as it frees up capital and management resources which can be re-deployed to execute our long term strategy,” said Radio One’s CEO and President Alfred Liggins.
Radio One originally purchased the station from Clear Channel Communications in 1999 for a then reported record price exceeding $400 million, but as the economy has continued in dramatic decline it has affected not just the housing market but business as well. During the first four years under the Radio One umbrella the station enjoyed modest success as it battled with KPWR for the R&B/hip-hop crown.
The station rode on the heels of its heavily promoted and high profile morning star Steve Harvey, but ultimately never managed to win the ratings war against Big Boy and KPWR.
After a feud with Harvey ensued over the station’s hip hop content and his refusal to play questionable songs during his show, he left unceremoniously and was replaced by former NBA basketball star John Salley.

Hip-hop star Snoop Dogg has launched a scathing attack on U.S. presidential hopeful Barack Obama - accusing him of gleaning support from a race hate group. The rapper, real name Calvin Broadus Jr., insists the Democratic candidate has received funding from historically anti-black organization the Ku Klux Klan (KKK).
He says, "The KKK gave Obama money. They was (sic) one of his biggest supporters... Why wouldn't they be? The media won't tell you that. They don't want you to know that. They just want you to know that this n%*ger befriended this other n*#ger who be (sic) threatening your values. But we all know all presidents lie to get into f****ing office. That's they (sic) job."
However, Dogg insists Obama will still emerge victorious in the October elections. He adds, "In America's eyes, that mutha*****'s gonna be president 'cos (John) McCain can't f**** with him. Hillary (Clinton) can't f***** with him. He's winning over white people, white ladies."
