PALIN CONTROVERSY

Since the announcement of McCain’s surprise pick on Friday, Sarah Palin has been catapulted into the limelight.
First, there was talk that her son was actually her grandson, the child of her oldest daughter, Bristol. Then, she and her husband issued a statement that 17-year-old Bristol was pregnant and would marry the child’s father, Levi Johnston. In fact, Levi left Alaska Tuesday to join the Palin family at the RNC.
Palin is currently under investigation that she used her position as governor to get the Alaska public safety commissioner, Walt Monegan, fired. The McCain campaign is reportedly using stall tactics to prevent the release of the findings by Oct. 31, four days before the November election.
Now, a new report has surfaced that Palin and her husband supported the Alaskan Independence Party, a political party that has called for the state’s secession from the union. Many take issue that McCain’s “Country First” slogan is being dismissed by his very own running mate because of her affiliation with a political party that puts Alaska first.
