Sen. Hillary Clinton won ANOTHER lopsided victory over Sen. Barack Obama in Sunday’s Puerto Rico Democratic primary. With 68 percent of the vote, Clinton gained 38 delegates. Obama gained 17, moving him closer to the Democratic nomination with only 47 more needed.
Clinton thanked Puerto Rico for her victory and added: “More people across the country have voted for our campaign. More people have voted for us than for any candidate in the history of presidential politics. We are winning the popular vote. Now there can be no doubt. The people have spoken, you have chosen your candidate.”
At a campaign rally in Mitchell, S.D., Obama said he had called Clinton to congratulate her, adding: “Senator Clinton is an outstanding public servant, she has worked tirelessly during this campaign … and she is going to be a great asset when we go into November.”
